Spirit

To San Jose:
Flights fly out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. These flights originate from locations such as Los Angeles, Detroit, San Antonio, New York/Liguardia, and Chicago/ O’Hare.

International flights to San Jose:
Spirit flights to Costa Rica depart from Ft. Lauderdale. Most major international airports don’t have flights to Florida, but connections can be made from New York, Los Angeles, or Houston.

Delta

To Liberia:
Delta flys from New York Liguardia (LGA) and JFK airports to Costa Rica with one layover in Atlanta, Georgia (ATL). Flights originating out of Detroit (DTW) stop in either Atlanta or Charleston, North Carolina (CHS). Los Angeles (LAX) has direct flights to Liberia. Chicago (ORD and (MDW) have one layover in Atlanta.

To San Jose:

Detroit has layovers in Greensborough, Atlanta, or New York.
New York with one stop. Los Angeles has one stop in Atlanta. Chicago via New York, Greensborough or Atlanta.

International flights:
Foreign flights must first arrive at New York city, Detroit, or Los Angeles before then flying to Costa Rica.
